Wink
Costa Rica's first neobank, built around mobile onboarding, digital accounts, bank integrations, and biometric authentication.
Implementation
Wink set out to make everyday banking accessible from a phone without requiring customers to visit a branch. I joined as Lead Engineer and built the first version of the React Native application and its AWS backend.
I selected the initial technology stack, established the application architecture, and coordinated integrations with partner banks for account information, deposits, and transfers. These integrations connected a new mobile banking experience to existing financial infrastructure.
I implemented biometric identity verification and authentication through a React Native native bridge and helped establish the engineering team that would carry the product through launch.
