Bureau of Trade (Beta)
A men's editorial marketplace in public beta with responsive browsing and animated product interfaces.
Bureau of Trade was a men's shopping site in public beta by 2012, with editorial copy and listings sifted from major marketplaces rather than a traditional retailer catalog. I was the only full-stack developer, and most of my work sat in the frontend: responsive layouts, animations, and the browsing experience around those listings.
I built page transitions and listing views that could handle a wide merchandise mix (clothing, watches, vehicles, art, and more) and tuned performance so product pages loaded faster during the beta.
